I walked past De Clieu on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy and it took me approximately 2 seconds to fall in love with this place. It smelled like strong coffee and fresh croissants and pastries, and I knew if there was any place to get all my friends together for a massive brunch it would be here (active wear included, obviously, because that’s how we brunch in Melbourne…).

I loved the interior so much I couldn’t stop walking around taking photos – and please, how beautiful are all those green mugs and cups? Definitely a place I want to go back to. No shame for ordering the most photogenic meal on the menu, because isn’t that what brunching is all about? But then again, my curiosity for Kimchi pancakes might take over… Either way, I’ll be back, very soon, once I’m no longer stuck in the library working on 3 essays simultaneously.
